Who is in the staff of “Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi”?

Shunsuke Tada is directing the anime at Production I.G, while Kenji Kamiyama returns from the original short as supervising director and series script supervisor. Hitoshi Ito serves as producer, with Jacqui Lopez and Josh Rimes executive producing for Lucasfilm.

What is “Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi” about?

The Ninth Jedi series will be a spin-off to Kamiyama’s 2021 Visions short featured back in Volume 1, and will include a more in-depth exploration of Jedi lore and kyber crystals that have been introduced in this specific branch of the Star Wars’ sprawling universe.

The Ninth Jedi will follow fan-favourite character Lah Kara, a young woman with force sensitivity, and her continued search for her missing father, a lightsaber smith, while also attempting to bring together the scattered Jedi. The short itself was set after the final movie of the Star Wars revival trilogy, titled “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”.

The project also launches Star Wars: Visions Presents, a new initiative that expands selected stories from the anthology into full-length series.
