The main cast and staff of the series have also been revealed.
After almost eight years since its first announcement, Kyoto Animation has finally confirmed the release of the Nijuuseiki Denki Mokuroku light novel’s anime adaptation. Titled ‘Sparks of Tomorrow’, the anime series is set to air sometime in 2026.
The first trailer gives the audience a glimpse of what’s to come. The official website and social media accounts of the anime have also revealed the main voice cast and staff.

The two main cast members of the anime are:
- Kihachi Sakamoto voiced by Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Sakura Haruka in Wind Breaker)
- Inako Momokawa voiced by Sora Amamiya (Chizuru Mizuhara in Rent-A-Girlfriend, Akame in Akame Ga Kill!)
Minoru Ota directs the anime adaptation of Kazumi Ikeda’s light novel at Kyoto Animation. Tatsuhiko Urahata handles series composition while Kohei Okamura is the character designer and chief animation director. Takaaki Suzuki is in charge of the worldview setting while Hitomi Koto handles music composition.
The anime adaptation was first announced back in 2018, but was halted after the devastating arson attack on Kyoto Animation, which claimed multiple lives. Fans are happy to see the series finally be greenlit again. The official website of the anime describes the story as:
