The main cast of the anime includes:
- Kikunosuke Toya as Akira
- Yoko Hikasa as Karen
- Azusa Tachibana as Chloe
Ryūta Kawahara is directing the anime at studio BAKKKA, with Yuichiro Momose as the series composer and scriptwriter. Hiroyuki Saita designs the characters while Takenoko boy composes the music. Hiroto Morishita is the sound director. INCS TOENTER handles music production for the fantasy anime.
The So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? anime is based on the manga series written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Tsukasa Araki. It began serialising in February 2020 in Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump magazine. The 14th volume of the manga was released in March.
Yen Press publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
