Kadokawa has released a new trailer and visual for “Sasaki and Peeps” Season 2, revealing the anime’s October 2026 debut. Moreover, additional returning staff members have also been introduced. Crunchyroll will stream the second season as it airs.

Yūshi Ibe, the assistant director from Season 1, is directing Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, while Season 1 episode director Yamato Ouchi has taken up the role of assistant director. First season’s animation director Kazunori Ozawa is the action supervisor for season 2. Season 1 2DCG designer Yūko Shintani is the compositing director of photography for season 2, while the previous season’s 3D animator Tsutomu Ogasawara is the new season's 3D director.
The new staff members joining the anime’s production team are music producers Kōji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki.

What is Sasaki and Peeps about?
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku, which began publishing in the novel posting websites Kakuyomu and Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2018. In 2021, Media Factory began publishing the story in book format under their MF Bunko J imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Pureji Osho began serialising in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shōnen Ace Plus online magazine in 2024.
Yen Press publishes the novel and manga in English and describes the story as:
