The new update revealed that the anime will premiere in January 2027. The main cast and staff have also been announced.

What is Reincarnation in the Game World Dan-Katsu about?
The anime is based on Kaede Nishikigi’s light novel series, which began serialising on Kadokawa's user-generated novel publishing website Kakuyomu in 2021. It was later acquired by TO Books, who released the series as book volumes with illustrations by Shuri in 2022. The 16th volume of the novel will be released on 15 August. A manga adaptation by Hiroshi Asagi began serialising in TO Books' Corona EX manga service in April 2022.
The story of the series focuses on an avid gamer whose player name is Zephyrus. He has played the popular dungeon-crawling game Dungeon Shūkatsu no Susume (Dan-katsu) for over 8000 hours. But when he suddenly loses all of his game data one day, the man dies of shock. However, much to his shock and joy, he reincarnates into the world of Dan-katsu!
With his 8000-hours worth of in-game knowledge, Zephyrus gets the strongest job in the game as a hero and begins his fantasy journey inside Dan-katsu.
