The hit fantasy anime “Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World” has unveiled an April 2026 broadcast window for its upcoming fourth season, as well as a first main promotional video, a first key visual, and a new character and cast member. The season will be streamed globally through Crunchyroll.

Tomokazu Sugita joins the cast
A new character is debuting in Season 4: Reid Astrea. He was the first Sword Saint, and a key figure in the sealing of the Witch of Envy 400 years before the main timeline of the story. He features as a secondary antagonist in Arc 6 of the light novel series.
Tomokazu Sugita, known for his roles as Gintoki Sakata (Gintama), Joseph Joestar (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), and Gyomei Himejima (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), will be voicing the new character.

With Reid Astrea’s introduction, it is confirmed that Season 4 will cover Arc 6 of the light novel series: “The Corridor of Memories”. If the new season follows Season 3’s trajectory, it may also adapt Arc 7: “The Land of Wolves”.
Season 3, which came four years after Season 2, follows Subaru and Emilia one year after the events at the Sanctuary, as they arrive in the Watergate City of Priestella, where conflict due to fanatical motivations await them. The season was separated into two cours, “Attack Arc”, and the “Counterattack Arc.”
