The ongoing fourth season of the popular anime “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” has released a new visual for the show’s upcoming Recapture Arc. It was also revealed that the arc will begin with the anime’s next cour, which will start on 12 August, 2026.

The fourth season of the anime is being directed by Masahiro Shinohara at studio WHITE FOX. Masahiro Yokotani handles series composition while Haruka Sagawa designs the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro composes the music.
A music video for the song ‘Stay Alive ~Regain~’, as performed by Rie Takahashi as Emilia, has been released. The song was used in the most recent episode of Season 4, and the original version was used as the ending theme song for Re:ZERO Season 1 in 2016, which was 10 years ago.
What is Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- about?
The anime is based on the popular Japanese light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka, which began serialising in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012. Later, it was published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint. It also has a manga adaptation.
The anime adaptation first came out in 2016, followed by two OVAs in 2018 and 2019. The first cour of the second season was released in 2020, and the second cour followed in 2021. Similarly, the first cour of season 3 aired in 2024, and the second cour aired in 2025. The fourth season of the anime began airing on 8 April, 2026.
