In April of 2025, the slasher horror manga “Pumpkin Night” entered a long hiatus due to the artist Seima Taniguchi facing some health issues. In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Taniguchi announced that the series will resume with a new chapter on 19 August.

What is Pumpkin Night about?
In 2016, Hokazono and Taniguchi launched the Pumpkin Night manga on the Manga Life Win website. It restarted serialisation in 2019 on the LINE Manga app. In December 2024, Line Digital Frontier published the 10th compiled volume of the manga.
A prequel to the manga titled Naoko ~Pumpkin Night Gaiden~, written by Hokazono and illustrated by Nao Kurebayashi launched in the LINE Manga service in 2020.
Manga Planet used to publish the manga in English before its shutdown in March 2026. The service described the story as:
