What is the Golden Man manga about?

The Golden Man manga by Petosu and Megumi began publishing in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine in February 2024. The series shipped its 9th volume on 1 May. The 10th and 11th volume will be shipped together in September, 2026. However, the exact release date is yet unknown.

Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, and will begin publishing it in August of this year. It describes the story as:

Golden Man, the great hero who protected Neo York, has suddenly vanished from the city of freedom! At the scene of his disappearance, an abnormally strong young man with amnesia has collapsed. In their hero's absence, Golden Man's support team sends the young man out in his place to confront the villains that menace the city. However, this man has a secret, and it might just threaten the peace of Neo York…!!

The author Petosu posted on their X (formerly Twitter) account saying (machine translation):

Volume 9 of "Golden Man" goes on sale today, May 1st (Fri)! Woo-hoo! It's the final stretch! Looking forward to your support!

The final stretch is here, and the manga will likely end in a few more chapters.
