“Peleliu Guernica of Paradise” anime film reveals cast and staff in new trailer

The film is set to be released on 5 December 2025.

The official website and social media accounts of the upcoming Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise (Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica) anime movie revealed the main cast and additional staff of the film. Moreover, the first trailer of the movie has also been released. Previously, it was announced that the film will premiere on 5 December, 2025.

The main cast of the movie consists of:

  • Hiroshi Tamaru voiced by Rihito Itagaki
  • Keisuke Yoshiki voiced by Tomoya Nakamura

Gorō Kuji directs the anime movie at Shinei Animation and Fugaku. Junji Nishimura and the original manga’s creator Kazuyoshi Takeda are writing the scripts together. Toei is distributing the film. Other production staff includes:

The military drama anime movie is based on the original manga series by Kazuyoshi Takeda. A spin-off manga titled Peleliu Gaiden has also been released. The story is set in 1944 in the island of Peleliu during the Battle of Peleliu. It follows Private Hiroshi Tamaru, who wants to become a mangaka more than anything. Unfortunately, he is part of the 10,900 Japanese soldiers who have been ordered to stop the 47,561 American soldiers headed their way. The military drama based on a real life battle during the World War II is bound to make you emotional.
