Fan-favourite idol mystery-thriller anime Oshi no Ko has unveiled its first promotional video, a new key visual, and its ending theme song artist. The series will premiere on 14 January, 2026 in over 30 Japanese TV stations, as well as on global streaming platform Crunchyroll.

Season 3 amps up the drama
Season 3 will likely adapt the Main Stay and Scandal Arcs of the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
The Main Stay Arc occurs after a six-month time jump from the Tokyo Blade Arc, which was covered in Season 2. This arc focuses on Ruby Hoshino, and features her rise as an idol in the entertainment world. We’ll likely see just how dark showbiz can get through Ruby’s crumbling innocence, which was exacerbated as Season 2 ended with the appearance of a mysterious supernatural girl.
Meanwhile, the Scandal Arc will place Kana Arima in the forefront of a, you guessed it, potentially career-ending scandal. With her future as an actress now on the line, Aqua Hoshino takes it upon himself to save her by revealing an even bigger scandal: the truth of his and Ruby’s parentage.
Daisuke Himaraki continues to direct the series at Doga Kobo. Jin Tanaka is in charge of series composition while Kanna Hirayama designs the characters. Takuro Iga composes the music for the anime.

The ending theme song is performed by Natori, a Japanese singer-songwriter who also performed the theme songs for Rurouni Kenshin, and is titled “A Serenade”.
The series is based on the popular manga series Oshi no Ko written by Aka Akasaka, and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. The manga ended back in November 2024 and faced a lot of backlash due to its finale.
Manga Plus publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
