The film will be screened theatrically in Japan.
It has been announced that the 2025 original anime series “Maebashi Witches” is getting a compilation film with the release of a new teaser trailer. The movie is set to screen in theaters across Japan. Unfortunately, the exact premiere date remains unknown.
Maebashi Witch compilation movie details
The movie will shorten and compile important parts from the 12 episode anime that aired from April to June 2025. The cast of the series includes:
- Haruka Minami as Choco Mitsumata
- Hinano Sakikawa as Azu Niisato
- Sakura Kasuga as Yuina Akagi
- Rena Motomura as Kyoka Kitahara
- Honami Momose as Mai Kamiizumi
- Tomokazu Sugita as Keroppe
Junichi Yamamoto directed the Maebashi Witches anime at SUNRISE, with Erika Yoshida as the series composer and script writer. Yu Inami is credited for the original character design while Nozomi Tachibana designed the characters for the animation. Naoko Akuzawa was the art director and Yuri Habuka was the music composer.
A live singing event featuring the Maebashi Witches’ voice actors will take place in the BS11 booth at AnimeJapan2026 on 28 March. The original anime series will also be rebroadcast starting 11 April on BS5 and TOKYO MX. Crunchyroll streams the anime globally and describes the story as:
