“One-Punch Man” Season 3 Part 2 will air in 2027

The first part of the third season aired on 5 October and faced backlash.

It was announced by Bandai Namco Filmworks that the second cour of One-Punch Man Season 3 will air in 2027. The first part of the third season just came to an end, and to say fans are dissatisfied with the anime adaptation would be an understatement.

One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 details

A visual of Saitama and Garou has been released, to announce the upcoming 2027 premiere of One-Punch Man Season 3 Cour 2. A short teaser featuring the voice actors has also been released. 

The first cour of One-Punch Man Season 3 aired on 5 October, 2025 with a recap episode. On 12 October, the first episode of season 3 and the overall anime’s 25th episode was released. 

Shinpei Nagai directed One-Punch Man Season 3 at J.C. Staff, with Tomohiro Suzuki returning to write the scripts. Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryōsuke Shirakawa designed the characters, while Sakura Murakami was the art director. Makoto Miyazaki composed the music for the third season.

One-Punch Man Season 3 faced a lot of backlash from the anime community due to its lackluster animation. Fans are hoping that the production quality will improve during the two years it takes for the series to return in 2027. The anime is based on the manga series created by ONE, and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes it as:

Every time a promising villain appears, Saitama beats the snot out of ’em with one punch! Can he finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning? Or is he doomed to a life of superpowered boredom?
