GOD VALLEY will premiere in Summer 2027 while BAAD premieres in 2029.
Two new anime movies were announced during the One Piece Day ‘26 livestream that took place on Sunday, 23 August. The first movie is “ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY” which will premiere sometime in Summer 2027. The second movie is “ONE PIECE FILM BAAD” which will debut sometime in 2029. Both of the release windows are for a Japanese theatrical premiere.

What do we know about the new One Piece anime films so far?
A super teaser announcing the two movies has been released by the official YouTube account of the One Piece anime.
The ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY movie will be released in 2027, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original manga by Eiichiro Oda. The film will cover the God Valley Incident arc from the manga which took place 30 years in the past. It centres around an epic battle between Rocks Pirates, the Roger Pirates, the Marines, and other factions in the God Valley.
The ONE PIECE FILM BAAD will premiere in 2029, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the One Piece anime. No other details about the film have been revealed so far.
Crunchyroll currently streams the Elbaph Arc of the anime, which began on 5 April.
What is One Piece about?
The One Piece anime by Toei Animation began back in 1999. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s 1997 manga of the same name, which has been serialised for almost three decades in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine.
