The possible anime adaptation was revealed in a new financial report.

Back in March 2025, the South Korean mobile and online game development company Com2us revealed that they were developing a game based on the popular webnovel turned webtoon “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” by singNsong. In a recent conference held to discuss the company’s quarterly earnings for Q1 of 2026, Com2us also mentioned an anime adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, which might coincide with the release of the game in 2027.

Is the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint anime coming in 2027?

As per the report by GameY news outlet about the Com2us quarterly earning conference, a mobile game based on the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint IP is in development. It was also mentioned that a “famous Japanese animation studio” is working on an anime adaptation of ORV, which is also scheduled to be released in 2027. Although no other details about the anime was revealed, Com2us also mentioned that their game release will coincide with the anime’s release, both possibly coming out in 2027.

No other official accounts have revealed whether the ORV anime adaptation is actually coming out next year. However, we can assume that more details about the project will be announced soon as the initial confirmation is here. Keep an eye on our page, as we will update you as soon as more news about the matter comes to surface.

Other than the ORV mobile game adaptation, Com2us is also working on several other anime to game adaptations. The first of these is I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, popularly known as A-Rank Party. They are also creating a PC and console game for Gachiakuta after the success of its mobile RPG game. Both of these games are also set to launch in 2027, although no release dates have been finalised yet.

What is Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint about?

singNsong’s original webnovel series began serialising in 2018 on the Munpia platform, and ended in 2020. Naver Webtoon publishes a webtoon adaptation of the novel created by Redice Studio for the Korean version, and Line Webtoon for the English version. Webtoon describes the story as:

Dokja was an average office worker whose sole interest was reading his favorite web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.' But when the novel suddenly becomes reality, he is the only person who knows how the world will end. Armed with this realization, Dokja uses his understanding to change the course of the story, and the world, as he knows it.
