The upcoming anime adaptation of Enma Akiyama’s Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi (Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend) manga has revealed its main cast and key visual. The television anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

What do we know about Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi?
Rina Kawaguchi will star as Noa Saotome, alongside Tomoya Itou as Rihito Otsuka, the two main characters. Noa is Rihito's senpai at work, and although she presents herself as incredibly dependable, Rihito knows that the true Noa is much more clumsy and emotional.
Shinsuke Yanagi is directing the anime at feel. Keiichirou Oochi is handling series composition, while Yumiko Yamamoto is designing the characters.
The anime is based on a manga series by Enma Akiyama which began serialising in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in July 2023. 11 collected volumes of the manga have been released as of 17 July. The series also ranked eighth in the 10th Next Manga Awards in 2024.
The story of the manga revolves around a young salaryman named Rihito Otsuka who works at a game company. The company’s Art Director and his senior, Noa Saotome, is known as a high-achieving career woman respected by her colleagues for her stellar work ethics. But when Otsuka finds out about Noa’s hidden side, a special friendship blossoms.
