I am truly delighted that a sequel to the anime "Nippon Sangoku" is in production.
The spark that was quietly lit in the first series eventually grew into a flame that consumed the era, profoundly shaking the destinies of the people.
What kind of landscape will the history recorded in the original work paint when interpreted and expressed in a way unique to film?
As the original author, and also as a viewer, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

What is Nippon Sangoku about?
The anime is based on Ikka Matsuki’s manga of the same name, which began publishing on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday website and MangaONE app in November 2021.
Prime Video describes the story as:
The story depicts the near future of Japan, where revolution arose from nuclear war, natural disasters, and corrupt governance, where civilization has collapsed. The nation has split into three, entering an era of warring states vying for supremacy. Aoteru Misumi, once a humble local government official, aims for the “reunification of Japan,” rising through the ranks with his vast knowledge and exceptional eloquence.
The legend of the man who would later be called a genius military strategist begins.
