New “Revue Starlight” anime project announced

A short PV for the anime project has been released.

The multimedia franchise “Revue Starlight” is coming back with a brand new anime series! The anime is titled Itsuka Dareka ni Todoku ■■■ (■■■ That Will Reach Someone Someday). Additional details about the project will be revealed at a later date.

Revue Starlight new anime project details

The anime production will be done by Kinema Citrus, who previously animated the 2018 anime series and acclaimed movies. A short preview video showing the name of the project has been released, although no other details have been disclosed. Keep an eye on our website as we will update you on any new details about the project! 

The Revue Starlight media project was launched in 2017 by Bushiroad, Nelke Planning, and Kinema Citrus. It began with a series of musicals in 2017, and a 12-episode anime, directed by Tomohiro Furukawa, came out in 2018. Two anime movies came out later in 2020 and 2021. 

A smartphone game titled Shōjo Kageki Revue Starlight: Re LIVE, developed by Ateam, was released in 2018. But it ended service across all platforms in 2025. A visual novel game titled Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Stage Musical Impression Drama: Distant El Dorado launched for Nintendo and PC via Steam in August 2024. 

All Revue Starlight projects are interconnected stories about several groups of girls who are all performing arts students. Throughout their school years, these highly talented ‘Stage Girls’ compete to surpass each other. The musical nature of the franchise has made the series a success amongst fans.
