The first chapter of the series will be released on 19 May, 2026, in the magazine’s next issue. Kenji Hamaoka is drawing the storyboards. The original Baki the Grappler creator Keiosuke Itagaki is credited for the original draft.
Doppo is one of the most well-known characters from the Baki universe, and fans are excited to learn more about him through this series.
Previously, Hayashi launched another Baki Gaiden titled Gaia to Sikorsky in the Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine in October 2022. Akita Shoteen shipped the 10th compiled volume of the manga on 6 March, 2026. The next volume is set to come out on 8 June, 2026.
Keisuke Itagaki’s original manga Baki the Grappler was published from 1991 to 1999. A sequel series titled Baki was published from 1999-2005. The next sequel Baki Hanma was published from 2005-2012, while the fourth series Baki-Dou was published from 2014-2018. The next series Bakidou published chapters from 2018-2022. The current Baki Rahen series has been serialised since 2023. The whole series follows protagonist Baki Hanma as he trains and tests his fighting skills against various types of fighters in a series of no-rules, hand-to-hand combat competitions.
