After weeks of uncertainty among fans, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure “Steel Ball Run” has locked in a premiere window for all-new episodes of the series. Via a social media statement on Twitter/X released earlier today, Netflix confirmed that “Steel Ball Run” will have a weekly release.
The series’ next cour, 2nd STAGE, will begin streaming in Fall 2026 on Netflix. One episode will be released each week.

After weeks of fans hounding Netflix for more information on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure “Steel Ball Run”, the streaming service has finally made its planned release schedule public on Twitter/X. In its statement, Netflix began by thanking fans for their “incredible support” of the series.
The company confirmed that “Steel Ball Run” is currently “in production” with a planned “split-cour release across the entire run of episodes.” It then confirmed when the next cour, entitled 2nd STAGE will premiere: “Fall 2026 on Netflix, with one new episode released each week.”
This means that fans can look forward to an eventual weekly release for the series, with less lengthy gaps in between each episode. However, the exact number of episodes included in “2nd STAGE” was not revealed. It is also unknown how many cours “Steel Ball Run” will run for in total.
Netflix noted that this release schedule “is part of our original plan and reflects the wishes of the production committee” and thanked fans for their “patience and continued support as we work to bring you the 2nd STAGE.”

Each installment of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows different protagonists belonging to the Joestar lineage, and this anime adapts the story of former jockey Johnny Joestar, who embarks on a dangerous cross-continental horse race.
Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi are co-directing the upcoming season at David Production. Other returning staff members include series director Toshiyuki Kato, script writer Yasuko Kobayashi, character designer Daisuke Tsumagari, music composer Yugo Kanno, and sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami.
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure “Steel Ball Run” anime premiered on Netflix with just one episode on 19 March, 2026, aptly titled “Steel Ball Run”. New episodes will premiere in Fall 2026, as part of the series’ 2nd STAGE.
