The first game of Buratsuta’s new Blue Lock ripoff competition begins.
In the previous chapter of Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s Blue Lock manga, we saw that 301 young football players have been invited by Buratsuta for a new competition. The two people who win this will be able to participate in the U-20 World Cup final stage. In the recent chapter, Seishiro Nagi teams up with Ryosuke Kira to win the first game and reach their common goal of defeating Blue Lock and Yoichi Isagi.

The issue begins with Shindo and Kira reaching the designated room and seeing that Seishiro Nagi is already sitting there. The players are excited to see Nagi, who was the last one to get kicked out of Blue Lock. But a message on the screens pops up, telling them to change into their designated bodysuits. As all 13 players in the room change, Kira asks Nagi what he’s doing here. Nagi says that his tone is rude, and Kira apologises, saying he only wants info he gained from fighting Isagi.
Nagi is alarmed, and asks if he hates Isagi. To this Kira says that he absolutely despises the top Blue Lock player. Before they can talk more, Buratsuta appears on the screen and announces that the first game of the competition is ‘Bird Cage’. Two of the 13 players will become the ‘birds’ while the other 11 will be the ‘cage’ surrounding them. The 11 players will try to pass amongst themselves and keep the ball away from the birds, and the time limit is 136 seconds.
If the two birds succeed to take the ball, they will move on to the next stage, but if they fail, they go back to become the cage and new birds are chosen. The caveat is that only the first three pairs will move on, meaning out of the 13, only 6 players will succeed. The first bird is chosen in order of entry, which means Seishiro Nagi will be one of the birds.
As Nagi gets up to stretch, he is given the power to choose the second bird. He chooses Kira and says that both of them have the urge to crush Isagi and Blue Lock. The game begins. Elsewhere, Jinpachi Ego approaches Isagi after Japan’s match against Nigeria and asks if he could have a chat with him.

I can't believe that Nagi and Kira are in the same room fighting side by side. The fandom used to dream about moments like this and now they’re coming true. It seems that both Kira and Nagi will be able to move forward to the next round, as they're both geniuses. However, there are players here now that are completely new and unpredictable. Someone like Shindo, who plays AAA in the Netherlands League, could prove to be a tough opponent to beat!
