Gountess' words act as a shield against Mymo’s attacks.
In the previous short chapter of the Gachiakuta manga, we saw how Mymo and Rudo ended up breaking into an old man’s house while fighting, forcing his grandson to take him away to safety. In the new update, the fight continues. Mymo tries to use his words to poison Rudo’s mind against the Cleaners. However, Gountess’ assurances act as a shield against these underhanded methods. When Rudo gets stronger, Mymo tries to run away.

Even in his monster form, Mymo struggles against Rudo’s awakened body. So he chooses to attack him with words and asks if he thinks there’s something off with the Cleaners. Even though Rudo is a Spherite, not one of them has tried to find out more about him. They are guarded against him because ever since Semiu sensed something alien within Rudo, they have deemed him an outsider. Although they want the savage beast on their side and placate him with empty words, the only person who thinks of them as friends is Rudo. The Cleaners don’t trust him.
Mymo deems these words enough of a distraction to catch Rudo off guard and attack him. But suddenly, Gountess yells that he is wrong. It’s clear in the Cleaners’ minds that Rudo is one of them. He knows this because he listened to all their words and feelings. They don’t ask him about his life because they don’t want to pry. It’s an unspoken rule among a group of misfits to respect each others’ privacy. They’re self-centered free spirits who can see Rudo for who he is and accept him wholeheartedly.
These words work as a shield in Rudo’s mind and he is able to ward off Mymo’s attacks. But the villain comments that no matter how beautiful the shield is, a sword of words can easily pierce it. However, when he looks down, he sees that Rudo’s form has changed. He is shocked to see that not only did Gountess’ words work as a shield, they have made Rudo stronger. When another attack from Rudo hits him, Mymo realises that if Rudo gets stronger, he can kill him. He decides to run away and later come back stronger with a better strategy.
He decides to retreat and attack again when the Cleaners’ let their guard down and make them suffer. However, Rudo is not ready to let him escape. Before he can scurry and hide in a hole, Rudo punches him into the ground. He reminds me of all the awful things Mymo has done to Gountess, Gountess’ parents, Rudo’s friends, the people at the doll fest, humans, and Zanka. Now it’s payback time. With his next attack, Rudo pierces Mymo’s chest with his paw.
Gachiakuta 162.2 review
After waiting for the last few chapters, it was incredibly satisfying to see Rudo finally take Mymo down. Mymo is a villain who can only torture and kill people weaker than him. The moment someone stronger shows up, he runs away. This makes him one of the most despicable characters in the manga. Gountess also proved his worth by standing straight and protecting Rudo against the person who tortured him for years. The amazing art of the chapter helped bring the action sequence to life. I can’t wait to see what the Cleaners extract out of Mymo.
