The special anime is scheduled to debut this summer.

The official anime adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia has unveiled a new short anime after the release of the title's epilogue episode, “More”, last Saturday, 2 May. The short anime, titled “I'm a Hero Too”, will adapt the one-shot manga drawn by Horikoshi from the 2025 fanbook “Boku no Hero Academia: Ultra-Age”.

What will “I'm a Hero Too” be about?

The short anime will focus on the character Eri, who in a time-skip, visits UA High as a highschooler. Eri figured as a central character in My Hero Academia Season 4, where she was victimised by the villain Overhaul due to her time-reversal quirk, Rewind.

Eri would later be taken in by the hero Eraserhead and Mandalay of the Wild, Wild Pussycats after the events of the “Final War”, and would grow into a happy, healthy teenager.

When will “I'm a Hero Too” premiere?

The short anime is scheduled to premiere sometime this summer, although an exact broadcast date is yet to be revealed.

What is “My Hero Academia” about?

The My Hero Academia anime is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga which came to an end in 2024. The series has a total of eight seasons, with a special epilogue episode releasing just this 2 May.

Crunchyroll streams all seasons of the anime, and describes the story as:

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
