What is "Re:bel Robotica"?

Re:bel Robotica began as a self-published doujin project by Mika Pikazo at Summer Comiket 2017, before officially launching as a mixed-media franchise in December 2019. The project later expanded with the web novel Episode #β One day., which was co-created by Pikazo and Ryou Yoshigami.

In 2022, Shinchosha published two novels set in the franchise's universe, including Re:bel Robotica 0 by Yoshigami and a standalone novel by Gakuto Mikumo. Pikazo is widely known for her character design work on titles like Fire Emblem Engage and World Dai Star, as well as for designing VTuber models for Kaguya Luna and Hakos Baelz.

The story for Re:bel Robotica is officially described as:

Robotica are machines that closely resemble humans, created to serve humanity and bring them happiness.

In the year 2050, dramatic advancements in information technology promise a comfortable and happy life to every human being in the near-future of Shibuya, Tokyo. However, the world is about to be shaken by the existence of a mysterious girl named Lily.

The anime project is based on an original concept created by illustrator Mika Pikazo, sci-fi novelist Ryou Yoshigami, and publishing company Arch.

Pikazo is also responsible for the franchise's original character designs.
