The anime series is based on Nonco’s manga of the same name. It began publishing in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022. The official website describes the anime’s premise through a machine translation as:
A mysterious and beautiful devil that devours human souls has descended.
Kanan, the Gourmet Devil, descends upon a high school in the human world to devour young, sweet souls.
