The spy family drama is coming back for more fun, warm adventures.
The second season of Mission: Yozakura Family is confirmed to premiere sometime in April 2026! However, an exact broadcast date is yet to be revealed.
The announcement, which was made through the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, was paired with Season 2’s first visual. The visual features the titular Yozakura family, as they ride through a street with blooming cherry blossom trees.
Mission Yozakura Family Season 2 details
Season 2 has received a new staff update, as Takahiro Natsugawa is now replacing Mirai Minato as director. Mirai Minato is taking on the position of chief director.

The first season aired in 2024, while the manga, written and illustrated by Hitsuji Gondaira, was serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 2019 to 2025, recently concluding the story with a final chapter being released earlier this January.
Viz Media distributes the series in English and describes the story as:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
