The theme songs of the upcoming season have also been revealed.
The latest trailer for “Mission: Yozakura Family” Season 2 announced that the series will premiere on 12 April, 2026. A brand new key visual has also been released. The new PV for the anime features the opening and ending theme songs.
Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 details
The opening theme song of the show is ‘What's 'KAZOKU'?’ performed by Sakurazaka46. The ending theme song is ‘Shalala’ performed by Pilaf Alien. Snippets of both songs can be heard in the new trailer.
The returning cast of the anime includes:
- Reiji Kawashima as Taiyo Asano
- Kaede Hondo as Mutsumi Yozakura
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Kyoichiro Yozakura
- Aoi Yuki as Shion Yozakura
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kengo Yozakura
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Shinzo Yozakura
- Yumi Uchiyama as Nanao Yozakura
Takahiro Nakatsugawa directs the second season at SILVER LINK, with Mirai Minato as chief director and series composition writer. Mizuki Takahashi designs the characters while Koji Fujimoto composes the music.
The Mission: Yozakura Family anime is based on the manga series by Hitsuji Gondaira. It was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from August 2019 to January 2025. It has been published in 29 collected book volumes. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo!
