Kodansha has confirmed the anime adaptation.
Kodansha has announced a television anime adaptation of Nene Azuki's Mii-chan to Yamada-san (Mii-chan and Miss Yamada) web manga, revealing a commemorative illustration drawn by Azuki, as well as an announcement trailer.
The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027, although further details on the cast, staff, animation studio, and exact release date have yet to be announced.

What is “Mii-chan to Yamada-san” about?
Mii-chan to Yamada-san is a drama manga by Nene Azuki that began serialization on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website in September 2024. The series is set to end in the next two chapters.
The manga has gained significant popularity since its debut, with its collected volumes currently having over 2.8 million copies in circulation. It ranked fourth in the Male Readers' Top 20 of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2026 and was also nominated in the General category of the 50th Kodansha Manga Awards.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for an English-language release on January 28, with the first volume scheduled to be published on December 8. They describe the story as:
In the heart of Shinjuku, there are a variety of host and hostess nightclubs open to customers seeking a night of indulgence with a gorgeous companion. Yamada is one of those companions. She balances university and work, but finds herself more interested in becoming a model hostess than a star pupil. The pay is too tempting to resist, which is why so many girls come and go in the industry. But in 2012, she meets someone completely different. Mii-chan is a petite young woman who seems to be rather useless at most things—barely able to read or write and, unfortunately, clumsy—earning her ridicule from staff and customers alike. However, her bright energy and endless motivation proves hard to ignore, and Yamada finds herself drawn in by Mii-chan's charm.
