The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Comic Grast has also confirmed the news. Unfortunately, other than the confirmation, nothing else about the anime adaptation has been revealed as of yet. However, be sure to keep an eye on our page as we’ll update you as soon as any news comes out.
The anime is based on Monsho Sakakibara’s web-novel series of the same name, which began publishing Kadokawa Corporation's Kakuyomu online service in July 2021. In December 2022, Starts Publishing's Grast Novels imprint started publishing as a light novel with illustrations by Hatori Kyoka. A manga adaptation by Kanco started releasing in May 2023. The novel’s official website has also revealed comments from the author and illustrators. Kanco has also drawn a new illustration to celebrate the news.
The story of the novel follows a modern-man who dies in an unfortunate accident. He is reincarnated in a fantasy world as an elf, a species who live up to a thousand years. Instead of wasting his new life as he did the previous one, the man sets out on a journey to become a “living legend”.
