The original anime is a continuation of the Pierrot Magical Girl Series.
The upcoming magical girl anime “Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly” has unveiled its main cast, staff, a teaser visual, and a pilot film through Studio Pierrot’s official website. The series is set to premiere in April 2026, although an exact date is yet to be determined.

- Nao Ojika as Rui Nonomiya

Shintarou Doge is directing the anime at Studio Pierrot. The rest of the staff includes:

The “Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly” original anime project falls under Studio Pierrot’s roster of original magical girl anime series, aptly called the “Pierrot Magical Girls”. The series spanned from 1983 to 1998, and includes classic titles such as “Magical Angel Creamy Mami”, “Persia the Magic Fairy”, “Star Magician Magical Emi”, “Magical Idol Pastel Yumi”, and “Magical Stage Fancy Lala”.
“Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly” will be the first addition to the series in 28 years.
The story is officially described as:
Nonoyama Fuu is an innocent elementary school student who can't wait for summer vacation. Nonoyama Rui is a reserved but hardworking middle school student.
The two were once close sisters, but recently, they've felt a sense of distance between them…
One day, Fuu encounters a mysterious spaceship and is granted magical powers.
Meanwhile, Rui also gains wonderful magical powers. Fu and Rui transform into the adult forms they've always dreamed of.
However, there are two rules: "The deadline is one year," and “No one must know about the magic.”
Until soon, the two, unaware of each other's secrets, are both active as idols!
