The magical girls of Maebashi are returning to the big screen.
The original anime “Maebashi Witches” is getting a compilation film! The news, which was announced through the anime's official X account, revealed that the film, titled “Gekijōban Maebashi Witches: Majo Minarai no Emoemories” (“Maebashi Witches Emoemories: Blooming Witches”), is set to premiere in Japanese theaters this Fall 2026.
Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual for the film was also released.
The anime originally aired in Spring 2025, and was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll.

What is “Maebashi Witches” about?
Set in Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture, the anime follows five high school girls whose ordinary lives suddenly change after meeting a mysterious frog named Keroppe.
The girls are chosen to become the “Maebashi Witches”, leading them into a magical flower shop connected to another world where they sing, dance, and help grant people’s wishes.

Who is behind the “Maebashi Witches” anime?
The anime was directed by Junichi Yamamoto at Bandai Namco Filmworks and PROJECT MBW.
Series composition was handled by Erika Yoshida, while character designs were done by Nozomi Tachibana based on original designs by Yū Inami. Music for the series was composed by Yuri Habuka. The five main cast members, collectively performing as the Maebashi Witches unit, also performed the anime’s opening and ending theme songs.
