The story of the series revolves around a boy named Kyōsuke, who lost his musical partner Kai right before their big debut. Feeling lost and heartbroken, Kyōsuke detached himself from music and started living with no motivation. But three years later, Kai’s spirit suddenly appears before him and tells him that being alive and doing nothing is worse than being dead. Feeling inspired by Kai's words, Kyōsuke returns to the world of music and meets other talented musicians. But their time is limited.
