An additional cast member has also been revealed.
A few months ago, it was announced that Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series “Kunon the Sorcerer Can See” is getting an anime adaptation. It has now been confirmed by the official website and social media accounts of the anime that the series will air in January 2025. Moreover, an additional cast member has also been revealed.

The newly announced cast member of the series is:
- Mirika Huguria voiced by Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer, Hina Chono in Blue Box)
Previously announced main cast members of the anime include:
- Kunon Gurion voiced by Saori Hayami
- Iko Round voiced by Maaya Uchida
Isekaijoucho performs the opening theme song of the anime titled ‘Rakenaria no Yume’ (Dream of Rakenaria). Hideaki Ōba directs the anime at Platinum Vision, with Yuki Enatsu writing and supervising the scripts. Yokō Satō and Toshimitsu Kobayashi are designing the characters. Shunsuke Takizawa composes the music for the anime.
The anime is based on the popular light novel series written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. A manga adaptation by La-na is also being published. Yen Press publishes both the light novel and manga in English and describes the story as:
Kunon Gurion was born without sight and unsure of his purpose in life, but everything changes when he resolves to find a way to use magic to see. This is a feat no sorcerer has ever accomplished or even tried, and it won’t be easy.
