Manabu Kurihara is the new director of KonoSuba -God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 4 at studio ENGI, notably moving away from the previous season's studio, Drive studio. Takaomi Kanasaki is returning as the chief director. Makoto Uezu is returning to handle the series scripts while Koichi Kikuta comes back to design the character. Yoshikazu Iwanami continues as the sound director while Masato Kōda returns as the music composer.
A new 10th anniversary video was also released at the event, which features a new arrangement of Machico’s song ‘fantastic dreamer’ from KonoSuba Season 1.
Moreover, a new RPG game for the franchise, titled KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world! Prosperity to This Beloved Town!, has also been revealed. The game will be launched in iOS, Android and PC in Japan sometime in 2026.
What is the KonoSuba anime about?
The KonoSuba anime is based on a novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. It also has a manga adaptation by Masahito Watari.
The first season of the anime, by Studio Deen, came out in 2016, with the second season following in 2017. J.C. Staff released an anime movie titled KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson in 2019. The third anime season, by Drive studio, aired in 2024.
