The Joker is heading back to manga, but this time he's trading Gotham City for a trip around Japan.
Kodansha has announced a new manga titled Machibura JOKER (Joker Walking Around Town), which is set to begin serialization in Morning magazine on 2 July, 2026.
Illustrated by Masa Ichikawa, the series follows an unusual premise where the Joker grows frustrated with rising prices in America and decides to search for a new base of operations in Japan. Before settling down, however, he takes the opportunity to explore the country, leading to a travel-themed comedy featuring one of DC's most iconic villains.
