Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine’s 29th issue of 2026 revealed that the publisher will release a special magazine to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Yasuhisa Hara’s “Kingdom” manga. Titled Kingdom Magazine, the special edition will be released in Japan on 19 August, 2026.

What will be in the special Kingdom Magazine?
As per the Weekly Young Jump magazine, the Kingdom special edition magazine will include new art from Hara on the cover, and a poster of the same art will be included for fans. The result of the manga’s third character popularity poll will also be in the magazine, as well as a long interview with Hara, looking back at the last 20 years since Kingdom was published.
What is the Kingdom manga about?
The Kingdom manga began publication in 2006 in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump. On 19 May, the manga published its 79th collected volume and also celebrated having cumulatively sold 120 million copies in the last 20 years across the globe.

The manga’s anime adaptation aired in 2012, with a second season following in 2013. The third season came seven years later in 2020, followed by season 4 in 2022. The fifth season aired in 2024, while the sixth aired in December 2025. A continuation of the sixth season has been announced. Crunchyroll streams the anime globally.
The series also has a live-action movie series adaptation, the first of which premiered in 2019. The sequel was released in 2022, followed by another sequel in 2023. The fourth movie in the series aired in 2025. The fifth movie is set to premiere in July 2026.
