The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the popular new boys-love romcom anime “Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!” has revealed two new characters and their voice actors. The two new characters have made their first appearance in episode 8 of the anime, which came out today, on 18 May, 2026.

Aoi Umeki is the director and character designer for Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime at studio Drive. Naoki Yoshibe is the assistant director, while Yasuko Aoki writes the series composition and script. Tetsuya Tatamitani is the concept director while Ayana Tsujita composes the music.
What is Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! about?
The anime is based on Syundei’s manga, which was serialised in the Opera manga magazine from 2014 to 2016. A sequel series titled Go For It Again, Nakamura!! was serialised from 2017 to 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
Nakamura has fallen in love-at-first-sight with one of his classmates, Hirose–but there’s a problem: they haven’t actually met yet…and Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!
