A special episode was released during the holidays on Crunchyroll.
The beloved romcom anime Kaguya-sama: Love is War just released a special episode on 31 December, 2025. Titled The Stairway to Adulthood (Otona e no Kaidan), it focuses on the characters’ moving on to the next stage of their lives and the changes that come with it. Right after the release of the special, the official accounts of the anime announced a grand finale movie!
Kaguya-sama: Love is War final movie details
A very short 10-second announcement video has been released for the final movie. As the name suggests, it will likely be the last installment in the Kaguya-sama anime franchise. The preview video combines flashes from the anime. The movie has not revealed its title yet.
The original manga creator Aka Akasaka posted a message saying that this grand finale project won’t be an adaptation of the manga. This means fans will get a completely original and new story about their favourite characters from the mangaka.
Unfortunately, no other details about the upcoming finale movie have been revealed as of yet.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Stairway to Adulthood- is currently streaming globally on Crunchyroll. The story of this special takes place sometime after the events of the anime’s third and final season. This might be the perfect time to brush up on the anime again before you watch the special and wait for the grand finale.
