A new artwork of dual protagonists Hana and Kotaro has been revealed on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Champion Buzz. The manga adaptation will be illustrated by Nini Senbonki. The first chapter will be published on the 29th issue of Champion Buzz on 5 February, 2026.

Yui Hanaka launched the original novel series on the self publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in December 2022.

The story of the novel follows two high school students named Hana Isshiki and Kotaro Okumura. They end up in a magical fantasy world after getting tangled in a summoning incident. However, they are not the chosen hero and saint, and can’t return to their original world. But as they start to discover their own powers and abilities, the two start to wonder whether they’re actually “not” the chosen ones.

Yui Hanaka is also known for her novel series BL Game no Shujinkō no Otōto de Aru Koto ni Ki ga Tsukimashita (BL Game Rebirth: My New Life as the Hero’s Younger Brother). It began publishing in May 2015. Kadokawa released the second and final volume of the novel in March 2024 with illustrations by Shive. It also has a manga adaptation by Kana. Seven Seas publishes the series in English.
