The upcoming anime adaptation of Tsumuji Yoshimura’s manga “Just Like Mona Lisa” has confirmed that it will premiere sometime in 2027. An exact date is yet to be revealed.
The information comes with the release of a new key visual and a main promotional video, the latter of which previews the anime's ending theme song by performer imase.

Popular voice actress Chika Anzai will voice the anime’s protagonist, Hinase Arima.
Kana Shindo is directing the anime at studio SHAFT. Nobuhiro Sugiyama is the character designer and chief animation director, while Yuki Hayashi is the music composer.
Japanese singer-songwriter imase performs the anime's ending theme song, “Light in Dark.”

Also known by the alternate title “The Gender of Mona Lisa”, the manga by Tsumuji Yoshimura serialised on Square Enix's Gangan Online manga website from May 2018 to October 2022, and is available to read in English on Manga UP! Global. The story is described as:
