A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming anime adaptation of Ayune Araragi’s romantic comedy manga “Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love,” revealing a January 2027 premiere window alongside its main cast and staff members.

The newly-announced main cast includes:
- Riko Akechi as Rinna Milford Isshiki
- Shuichiro Umeda as Meishi Rokutanda
Who is working on the anime?
Kazuya Komai is directing the anime at Sakura Create. Series composition is being handled by Deko Akao, while Shohei Hamaguchi is designing the characters. The rest of the staff are yet to be revealed.
What is “Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love” about?
The anime is based on Ayune Araragi’s manga series, which was originally published under the title “Rinna Keibu wa Kokyu ga Dekinai” in Ichijinsha's Monthly comic Rex magazine. The manga serialised from October 2016 to December 2017, with chapters being collected into three tankobon volumes.

The straitlaced and serious police inspector Isshiki has earned the respect of everyone around her, but lately, she hasn’t quite been herself at work. Whenever her coworker Rokutanda is around, she gets flustered and slips up. Having no experience with such complicated feelings, Isshiki decides to enter a pseudo-relationship with Rokutanda and figure out what this love thing is all about.
