The upcoming gourmet anime series “Iron Wok Jan” (Tetsunabe no Jan!) has released a new teaser trailer. The main cast and additional staff members for the series have also been revealed. The anime is set to premiere sometime in 2026, but the exact release date is still unknown.
Iron Wok Jan anime cast, staff, and other details
The main cast of the anime includes:
- Kikunosuke Toya as Jan Akiyama
- Ikumi Hasegawa as Kiriko Gobancho
- Kohei Amasaki as Takao Okonogi
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Narrator
Ei Aoki is directing the anime at TROYCA, while Makoto Uezu handles series composition. Masako Matsumoto is the character designer and chief animation director. Tomoki Kikuya is the music composer for the series. The recently announced additional staff members for the Iron Wok Jan anime are:

The Iron Wok Jan anime is based on Shinji Saijyo’s manga of the same name which was published from 1995 to 2000. In 2025, the series celebrated its 30th anniversary. It was succeeded by two sequel manga series titled Iron Wok Jan! R: The Summit Operations in 2007 and Iron Wok Jan! 2nd in 2017. The official synopsis for the manga describes the story as:
Young, arrogant Jan, determined to be named the best cook, competes in local and nationwide competitions and does not lose his focus, even when his cooking makes some sick and other chefs sabotage him.
