The upcoming gourmet food showdown anime “IRON WOK JAN!” has finally announced its 5 July, 2026 premiere date. The new trailer of the series also unveiled new cast members and gave fans a look at the intense heat it’s about to bring!

What is IRON WOK JAN! about?
The Iron Wok Jan anime is based on Shinji Saijyo’s manga of the same name which was published from 1995 to 2000. In 2025, the series celebrated its 30th anniversary. It was succeeded by two sequel manga series titled Iron Wok Jan! R: The Summit Operations in 2007 and Iron Wok Jan! 2nd in 2017. The official synopsis for the manga describes the story as:
Young, arrogant Jan, determined to be named the best cook, competes in local and nationwide competitions and does not lose his focus, even when his cooking makes some sick and other chefs sabotage him.
