It was announced during the GA FES 2026 that the light novel series I Lost My Adventurer's License, but It's Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now is getting an anime adaptation. An adorable new visual of the two main characters of the anime were also revealed.

The anime is based on the popular light novel series written by Manimani Ononata and illustrated by Fuzichoco. The series began publishing in 2018, and has 4 volumes as of 2022. A manga adaptation illustrated by Fumi Tadaura also began publishing in 2018 and has 13 volumes as of June 2025. The novel’s illustrator Fuzichoco released a celebratory illustration for the anime.
Comikey and Square Enix’s Manga Up! platform publish the manga adaptation in English. Comikey describes the story as:
Douglas, once known as a legendary enhancement spellcaster, is now little more than your average, weak old man. On top of that, he was kicked out of the hero party, and eventually had his adventurer's license revoked... And that's how he ended up a vagabond, wandering aimlessly.
