“Hunter x Hunter” manga fans rejoice! Not only did the series resume publication with Chapter 411, releasing over a year later since its hiatus, the manga has also exceeded 100 million total copies in circulation (including digital copies).
Moreover, Shueisha is set to publish the 39th compiled book volume of Hunter x Hunter on 3 July, 2026.

How will Shueisha celebrate the massive milestone of Hunter x Hunter?
The news of Hunter x Hunter surpassing 100 million copies in circulation was revealed in the 31st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, which came out on Monday, 29 June, 2026 in Japan (Sunday, 28 June for the rest of the world).
The long-awaited Chapter 411 of the manga was also released in the same issue. After waiting since December 2024, fans are really excited for some new chapters from Togashi.
A special website has been opened to commemorate the 100 million copies sold milestone, with details about the celebratory campaigns. The main event is the ‘Shibuya Hunter Street’ campaign, where a total of 115 characters from the manga will appear all across Shibuya ward in decorations. Fans living in Japan can hunt for these characters to their hearts’ content.
But the good news doesn’t end here. Not only is a new chapter of the manga coming next week, but the 39th compiled volume of the series will also be released on 3 July. The cover of the upcoming issue features Hisoka, one of the most popular villains from the series.
What is Hunter x Hunter about?
The manga series began publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 1998. It has been adapted into two anime series, two anime movies, several OVAs, and multiple stage plays.
