Both of the movies are coming out sometime in 2027.
Back in December 2025, it was announced that the popular volleyball anime is getting two movie sequels in 2027. The first one is titled “Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant”. The second one is a TV anime film titled “Haikyu!! The Place Where Monsters Go”.
In a new update, a new key visual of Karasuno’s Hinata and Kamomedai’s Hoshiumi has been revealed. The second movie released a short trailer.

What do we know about the two upcoming movies so far?
The Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant (Haikyu!! vs. Chiisana Kyojin) movie will depict the emotional Nationals match between Karasuno and Kamomedai High schools. The protagonist Hinata and Kamomedai’s star player Korai Hoshiumi both appear in the new key visual. The movie will be released in Japan sometime in 2027.
Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant is the second and final installment of the final Haikyu!! anime movie duology. The first movie, titled Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, depicting the deciding match between Karasuno and Nekoma, came out in February 2024. Susumu Mitsunaka is returning to direct the movie at Production I.G. With the Little Giant movie, Karasuno’s journey is coming to an end.
A special TV anime titled Haikyu!! The Place Where Monsters Go (Haikyu!! Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro), was announced last year. The special depicts the match between Bokuto and Fukurodani’s match against Mujinazaka.
What is Haikyu!! about?
The Haikyu!! anime is adapted from Haruichi Furudate’s manga series of the same name. It was serialised in Shuisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from 2012 to 2020. The anime first began in 2014, with the second season following in 2015. The third season came out in 2016, and the fourth was released over two split cours in 2020. The final part of the manga was decided to be adapted into two movies. The first one came out in 2024, and the second and final is slated for 2027.
