Mymo gains an upper hand by telling Rudo about who killed Regto.
In the previous chapter of Kei Urana’s Gachiakuta manga, we saw Mymo telling Rudo that he knows who Regto’s killer is. Of course, this distracts Rudo as he has spent all his time in the Ground trying to find his adoptive father’s murderer. In the recent chapter, we see Mymo take advantage of Rudo’s distraction to attack him. However, Gountess is there to stop him and help Rudo overcome his doubts.

The issue opens with a shot of Tamsy in Spherite clothes, standing in front of an ornate building. From the look of it, it seems that he is a very important person in the Sphere. At present, we see Mymo’s monstrous form kick Rudo away after successfully distracting him with the question about Regto’s murder. He realises that although Rudo is a seasoned fighter, he is still immature and it’s easy to break his battle focus by talking about his father’s murderer. Mymo wonders how many more upsets it will take for him to kill Rudo.
Mymo attacks Rudo again and says that Gountess doesn’t know about this tidbit because there is some information that he likes to keep for himself. That’s why he ordered Gountess to forget it. He reminds Rudo that the opponent he’s attacking knows things that he desperately wants to. Then to disarm Rudo even further, Mymo reveals that Regto’s murderer is someone from the Cleaners. This fact leaves Rudo dumbfounded and unable to move.
The scenery changes as we see human Mymo attacking a defenseless child Rudo with a knife. Mymo comments that the disclosure of information can be wielded like a sword. But before he can kill Rudo, we see the child version of Gountess holding Mymo’s hand, making the knife fall. Through the necklace, he tells Rudo that since Mymo has been erasing his memories, he probably has a lot more intel than Gountess. This intel can mess with Rudo’s head. Seeing how devastated he became after hearing Mymo’s intel, it’s clear how much Rudo cares about Regto and the Cleaners.
He reminds Rudo that Mymo attacks people only by revealing little bits of information, while holding onto the actual answer. The best way to deal with him will be to neutralise him and drag the answer out later. Gountess tells Rudo that there are many ways to make him talk. That there are Givers on the Ground who specialise in information extraction. However, Rudo hesitates and tells him that he doesn’t know if he can hold back his strength right now. If he fights Mymo, he might kill him.
Gountess reminds him that when he ordered himself to change, Mymo asked for an invincible body. This means no matter how harsh Rudo’s attacks are, he won’t be able to kill Mymo easily. He urges Rudo to hit him with everything he’s got. We then see Gountess remembering his dead grandparents, who he failed to protect. He promises never to fail again.
The scene changes to reality once more, and we see Rudo biting a chunk off of Mymo’s arm. Gountess says that if Mymo uses his words as a sword to hurt Rudo, he will use his words as a shield to protect him. Mymo yells out in pain as his arm breaks again. He says that he has a lot more intel saved up, so much that Gountess’ attempts at a pep talk will fail in front of them. He vows to kill Rudo and rule over the Ground. Rudo says that Mymo only handed him another reason to beat him to a bloody pulp. He promises to crush the life out of him slowly and make Mymo tell him everything he knows. In the final panel, we see Rudo getting ready for another attack.
Gachiakuta Chapter 161 review
Unlike the readers, Rudo doesn’t know that Tamsy was the one who killed Regto. After knowing that one of the Cleaners, his comrades that he fought beside, was the one who murdered his father, I can’t begin to imagine what went through Rudo’s head. I’m grateful that Gountess was there to pull him out of his stupor with logical explanations. I hope once the fight with Mymo is over, Rudo and the Cleaners identify Tamsy and make him pay for what he did. But it seems like he has other sinister plans up his sleeve.
