The first spin-off novel of the series will also be released in October.
It was announced that a brand new anime OVA will be released together with the upcoming Golden Kamuy spin-off novel, titled Golden Kamuy: Tokushiro Tsurumi no Shukugan. A trailer was released, which revealed three new characters and their voice actors. Moreover, the OVA will cover two chapters: The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin (Chapter 102), and Shimaenaga (Chapter 228). The latter will be included in the bundle as a mini episode.
Golden Kamuy OVA cast, staff, and other details
The three new voice actors announced for various roles are:
- Keiichiro Sakamoto voiced by Koichi Yamadera (Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop, Beerus in Dragon Ball Super)
- Ogin voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon in Sailor Moon, Boa Hancock in One Piece)
- Shimaenaga voiced by Ikue Otani (Pikachu in Pokémon, Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece)
Brain’s Base is credited as producer, with Shizutaka Sugahara returning from Season 4 to direct the The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin OVA. The OVA and the mini-episode together will be about 30 minutes long. Both of them will be released as Blu-ray disc with the novel spin-off on 17 October, 2025. The Golden Kamuy anime series is based on Satoru Noda’s manga of the same name which was published from 2014-2022. There are currently four seasons in the anime, with another one on the way.
