The romcom series has also revealed its opening theme song.
The upcoming anime adaptation of Syundei’s boys-love romcom manga “Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!” has just released its main trailer. Previously, it was announced that the series will premiere on 1 April, 2026. Ahead of the release, fans can take a look at Nakamura and his world-ending crush on his classmate Hirose. The opening theme song of the show has also been revealed in the new trailer.
Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime details
The opening theme song of the series is ‘Shunpatsuteki ni Koi Shiyo’ performed by Yasuyuki Okamura and Kento Nakajima. Previously, it was announced Senri Oe’s ‘Glory Days’ will be the opening theme, but it has been updated to a featured theme song of the anime.
Manga author Syundei drew a celebratory illustration of the two artists for the new opening theme, which can be seen right beside the single’s cover art for the song.

Aoi Umeki is the director and character designer for Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime at studio Drive. Naoki Yoshibe is the assistant director, while Yasuko Aoki writes the series composition and script. Tetsuya Tatamitani is the concept director while Ayana Tsujita composes the music.
The anime is based on Syundei’s manga, which was serialised in the Opera manga magazine from 2014 to 2016. A sequel series titled Go For It Again, Nakamura!! was serialised from 2017 to 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
Nakamura has fallen in love-at-first-sight with one of his classmates, Hirose–but there’s a problem: they haven’t actually met yet…and Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!
