The ongoing six part anime film series for “Girls und Panzer Das Finale” has just revealed new details. The penultimate 5th part of the OVA series, titled Girls und Panzer Das Finale Part 5 will be released theatrically in Japan on 9 October, 2026.
Girls und Panzer Das Finale Part 5 details
A new key visual for the upcoming OVA movie has been released. The first Movie Ticket Card for the Girls und Panzer Das Finale Part 5 film will go on sale on 27 March. It will also come with a clear file featuring the teaser visual. The ticket will be sold at participating movie theatres, major online retailers, and MOVIE WALKER STORE.
Moreover, the tickets will also be available at the Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures booth at AnimeJapan 2026, which will be held over 28 and 29 March.
Tsutomu Mizushima directs the fifth part of Girls und Panzer Das Finale at studio Actas. The Das Finale series is a sequel to the Girls und Panzer (2012) and Girls und Panzer der Film (2015) movies. The first part of the six-part OVA premiered on 9 December, 2017. The second part followed on 15 June, 2019 and part 3 came out on 26 March, 2021. The fourth part was released on 6 October, 2023.
The fourth act of Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! is set to be released theatrically on 10 April, 2026. A pilot video version of the GIRLS und PANZER: PRINCESS SAMURAI spin-off manga will be screened at the end of the movie.
The Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! is being directed by Morihito Abe at studio Actas. Takuya Miyashita and Youhei Penguin handle the screenplay while Shuuhei Handa designs the characters. Takeshi Ito is the mechanical designer and Satoru Hirayanagi is the art director. Mutsuki Shuhei composes the music. The first part of the movie came out on 26 December, 2025. The second and third followed on 30 January, 2026 and 6 March, 2026. The fourth is set to come out on 10 April.
Girls und Panzer is a popular Japanese franchise created by Actas. It follows a competition between different girls' high schools who practice tank warfare as a sport.
